Rererere Birth
2023 / 3D Animation
The work Rererere Birth follows a hyper-realistic 3D animated woman through three acts: the latent phase, the expulsion phase and the afterbirth. In a voyeuristic birth scene, the viewer witnesses a kind of power struggle between an eccentric adult woman and the observing children. The children watch, react and comment with applause as a new baby is born. They witness the reproduction of an identical copy of themselves. Loops and repetitions create an organic indivisibility between bodies and dissolved individuals. A fictional theatre where time and space are broken, beyond the laws of logic. Her task is to give birth.
